Savoring summer: Tomato Goat Cheese Tart

Here in Kentuckiana, the first glorious tomatoes of summer are ripe -- Cherokee Purple, San Marzano, German Pink, and sweet and luscious little Sungolds. Whether it's a simple sandwich spread with soft, fresh chèvre and a few slices of Cherokee Purple, or something a tad more involved, we’re feeling inspired! In this recipe, we’ve layered heirloom tomatoes from our garden upon a bed of fragrant carmelized onions and dollops of our bright, tangy chèvre. We predict you’ll be savoring this tomato goat cheese tart all summer long.
